Natwar Singh drops pipe-bomb on Congress President Sonia Gandhi; Congress nervous!

If Sanjaya Baru couldn’t nail down the Congress, Kunwar Natwar Singh has. The former external minister during the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) regime Natwar Singh has spilled the beans for the Congress party when he, in an interview with Headlines Today made explosive revelations. Natwar Singh not only revealed the truth behind ‘inner voice drama’ by Sonia Gandhi in 2004 but also has backed the charges made my former PM media advisor Sanjaya Baru.
Natwar Singh, in his autobiographical book ‘One Life Is Not Enough: An Autobiography’, which is to be released on August 1 has reportedly made many such revelations that will sham the Congress.
A close confidante of Gandhian family, Natwar Singh, in one of his statements revealed that no inner voice led Congress President Sonia Gandhi to sacrifice the prime ministerial post in 2004, but it was on insistence from her son Rahul Gandhi, who feared that her mother would be assassinated; the same way former PMs, his father Rajiv Gandhi and grandmother Indira Gandhi were murdered. In another PM post drama, Natwar said that it was not PV Narasimha Rao but Shanker Dayal Sharma, then vice-President of India, the first choice as PM in 1991. It was after Sharma’s denial, Sonia chose Rao to be the PM of India.
Describing his friendship with Sonia Gandhi, Natwar Singh recalls an incident, “Sonia Gandhi once said, Natwar, you are my closest friend. Sometimes I have told you about things which I have not even shared with my son Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra.”
Natwar Singh, who had a fell out with the Manmohan Singh government in 2005 in food-for-oil scam backed Sanjaya Baru’s remarks. “Sonia Gandhi had access to all the confidential and important files when Manmohan Singh was at the helm. Pulok Chatterji would take the files to her.”
The revelations by on-time Congress loyalist Natwar Singh has taken the Congress party by surprise. Sonia Gandhi has himself come out and cleared her stand on the issue saying, “All matters will be clear when I write down my own book.” Former PM Singh who knows what her mistress would be feeling now has also came out I full support saying that such talks shouldn’t be let out in public domain.
The Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken refuted claims made by Natwar saying, “It’s a new trend to sensationalise the matter of the books written so as to ensure higher sales and profits. The claims are ridiculous. The issue is unworthy to comment on as it is for publicity and nothing else.”
If the book by Sanjaya Baru wasn’t enough to wrench the Congress nerves, another pipe bomb has been dropped by Natwar Singh, who has also worked in Indira Gandhi’s PMO and Rajiv Gandhi’s cabinet. The Congress party denied all the allegations made by Sanjaya Baru as politically motivated as the book released during the elections.
There seems no way out for the 100 year old party as it continues to shame itself further, even after being reduced to two digits in Parliament. Are there any more secrets in the book or not, the recent four revelations are enough to give Congress sleepless nights.
Publicity stunt or not, the Congress party is in for some controversy here!

Sonia reacts to Natwar's book: ‘I will write my own book, only then truth will be out’

Sonia Gandhi could call her tell-all book "The Story of my Experiments With Truth." Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi wouldn't mind.
