D.K.Hari and D.K.Hema Hari, Founders Bharath Gyan
Authors and researchers Sri. D. K. Hari & Smt. D.K. Hema Hari, Founders of Bharath Gyan, a Civilizational Studies initiative, have designed the questions and answers for the Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz organized by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs for Indian Diaspora (PIO/OCI & NRI).
In an effort to engage the Indian diaspora youth settled all over the world and to connect them with their heritage, the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, under its flagship event, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, has started the conduct of a Quiz “Bharat Ko Janiye” from this year, 2015.
This Quiz, open to Indian diaspora between the ages of 18 to 35, will expose them to various aspects of the Indian civilization across ages, through questions.
In keeping with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive to design the Quiz in line with technology, the first 2 rounds of the Quiz – Welcome Round (25th Nov to 12th dec) and Qualifying Round (13th Dec) , are being conducted online so that OCIs, PIOs and NRIs all around the world can participate from convenience of their homes. The Quiz has also been designed as an Open Book quiz with reading material published on the Quiz website itself.
The final round has been planned as on site event in Delhi on 7thJanuary, 2016, to coincide with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas event scheduled to take place between 8th and 10th January 2016 in New Delhi. From the Qualifying Round, 10 winners in the PIO/OCI category and 10 winners in the NRI category, will be flown by the Ministry to Delhi to take part in the Final Round in person. The top 3 winners in each category will be felicitated during the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas event.

The Hari couple, a husband-wife duo of Management and IT professionals, Founders of Bharath Gyan (www.bharathgyan.com) had addressed the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, earlier this year, on 7th January 2015, in Ahmedabad.

Together they have given over 250 lectures across India and the globe, to wide audiences and have authored over 15 books, 5 films, many articles and a host of short films on the ethos and knowledge of India along with its global connect over millennia, which are being published in association with The Art of Living under the support and guidance of its founder H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. They are active on social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Blog, You Tube and Google Hangouts.
Presently in its 15th year, Bharath Gyan is an endeavour to bridge old and new worlds by repurposing knowledge from the past, for the present and future, to experience, appreciate and apply.
