For the Provisional Government of Free India, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose adopted in November 194, 'Subh Sukh Chain' as the official anthem.
Janagana mana was first sung in December 1911 in the 26th session of Indian National Congress. It was sung in honour of King George V to welcome him to Kolkata (then Calcutta) with the intention of annulling the partition of Bengal. The bone of contention was the word 'adhinayaka' in the anthem.Decades later Rabindranath Tagore clarified to Pulin Behari Sen that the word did NOT denote praise of a king but was a prayer to the Almighty.
Constituent Assembly chose Janagana mana as the national anthem.
As Bharatam Janam move to constitute United Indian Ocean States (UIOS) as the Rashtram, Hinduahasagar Parivar, a new national anthem may have to be rendered linking the Hindumahasagar and Himavant aasetu himachalam. UIOS as the Rashtram will lead to abhyudayam of over 2 billion people nurtured by the great Indian Ocean and Himalayan ranges which stretch from Hanoi, Vietnam to Teheran, Iran. A national anthem for UIOS can include the words 'aasetu himachalam'. Surely, a national prayer, a song for the rashtram will be a moment of emotional bonding uniting the aatman with the paramaatman while abhyudayam reinforces the quintessence of Dharma-Dhamma.
