I attach a brief note on Confucius Institutes which are set up by China, comparable to the initiatives of Alliance Francaise or Max Mueller Bhavan promoting French and German interests respectively.
Now that NaMo has placed Bharatam in the limelight of international polity, and given the presence of Bharatiya in many parts of the globe, it is time for Bharatam to take the initiative to set up Bharatiya Cultural and Language Institutes all over the world.
This will be an effective and positive answer to the anti-Hindu phobia fanned by western academia, exemplified by the likes of Wendy Doniger or Francis Xavier Clooney and their Marxist and pseudo-secular chamchas such as The Hindu tabloid or Irfan Habib.
The initiative to set up Bharatiya Cultural and Language Institutes as non-profit, non-governmental initiatives should be catalysed by the Government of India and on a firmer, sustainable scale than what has been achieved by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan initiatives during the pre-Swarajyam UPA-Congi era, i.e. prior to May 2014 when the nation won its true Swarajyam.
Such initiatives will complement the Act East policies to work towards the goal of United Indian Ocean States of Indian Ocean Community which can be a counterpoise to the European Community and a 10 trillion dollar GDP powerhouse to accelerate the pace of abhyudayam in the nations peopled by over 2 billion believers of Dharma-Dhamma.

Confucius Institutes promote and teach Chinese culture and language around the world.
The curriculum of Confucius Institutes revolves around the institute's role as a language center
Confucius Institutes (Chinese: 孔子学院; pinyin: Kǒngzǐ Xuéyuàn) are non-profit public institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China[1] whose stated aim is to promote Chinese language and culture, support local Chinese teaching internationally, and facilitate cultural exchanges.[2][3]
Confucius Institutes are sometimes compared to language and culture promotion organizations such as Britain's British Council, France's Alliance Française and Germany's Goethe-Institut. Unlike these organizations, however, Confucius Institutes operate within established universities, colleges, and secondary schools around the world, providing funding, teachers and educational materials...The Confucius Institute program began in 2004 and is overseen byHanban (officially the Office of Chinese Language Council International). ...In June 2004, after establishing a pilot institute in Tashkent, Uzbekistan; the first Confucius Institute opened on 21 November 2004 in Seoul, South Korea. Hundreds more have opened since; in dozens of countries around the world with the highest concentration of Institutes in the United States, Japan, and South Korea.[9] In April 2007, the first research-based Confucius Institute opened at Waseda University in Japan. In partnership with Peking University; the program promotes the research activities of graduate students studying China. As of 2014, there were over 480 Confucius Institutes in dozens of countries on six continents. The Ministry of Education estimates 100 million people overseas may be learning Chinese by 2010 and the program is continuing rapid expansion to keep pace.[13]Hanban aims to establish 1,000 Confucius Institutes by 2020.The rapid expansion of Confucius Institutes has led to a backlash, especially in the United States and other Western countries.
