According to revelations made by a News-X channel on Thursday, it came to fore that a 12- page report signed by Head of Forensics Department Dr Sudhir Gupta, Senior Resident Dr Shashank Pooniya and Additional Professor Dr Adarsh Kumar was submitted and received by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sarojini Nagar police station on September 30, 2014.
The report stated that the medical board has reserved its comment on specific poison/chemical since there is a lot of limitation on the viscera report. It also mentioned about some poisonous substances such as Thallium, Polonium-210, Nerlum orleander, Snake bites, Photolabile poison and heroin.
The viscera report has tested positive for the ethyl alcohol, caffeine, acetaminophen and continine. "None of the treatment documents of Pushkar has mentioned prescription of Alprax, which was found at the scene of crime. Even though strips of Alprax were found, viscera reports clearly states negative for the presence of Alprax in the body. Emails by doctor after her death require investigation to establish their speculation about the disease and the cause of death they were referring to. The bed sheet and the mattress on which she was found dead also need forensic analysis," said the report.
It has also mentioned that these medico-legal points need to be addressed by the IO. The report also says that she was not suffering from tuberculosis, hyper-tension, diabetes or any disease of brain, lungs, liver and kidneys. She had a healthy and a normal heart.
The report has categorically mentioned lapse on the part of the Delhi Police for not analysing and submitting the crucial circumstantial evidence, including the reason for her physical injuries.http://www.dailypioneer.com/nation/sunanda-died-due-to-poisoning-aiims.html
