It is treason to defame Indian Army, Shekhar Gupta (aka Coupta) ji. You should quit your journalistic career with Indian Express and offer praayas'cittam in front of a War memorial for the Unknown Soldier of India.
Shekhar Coupta ji will do well by not trying to get famous by chamcha-giri and cock-and-bull concoctions for news gossip stories, dancing to command performance.

It appears that IE is determined that come what may they will prove to the world that there was merit in their coup story by Coupta ji. This is what happens when editors have unlimited supply of ink and a desperate desire to cover up a classic journalistic boo boo with the desire to "make news" and not report news. Well that is one method of being rewarded by the powers by a Padma award.
Once again the headline twist given to the former DGMO's matter of fact statement is a blatant manipulation of facts. it was never said even at that time that no one moved but it was emphasized it was routine exercise and only a fable of sick mind can imagine anything else. Yet there are insinuations by this limited circulation but totally dependent on governmental revenue newspaper and its editor that indeed there was something sinister. Who were these higher ups who were concerned?? or was it something that was planted at the behest of some over zealous intelligence officer and some bureaucrats.
What pains me most is that in their bid to tarnish me they have denigrated the only institution which thinks of Nation First. The only institution which rectifies when everything else fails. I think we could not have had a more sick mind than the one which put out the fable at the behest of someone. They surely need medical assistance to say the least.
And for all patriots and normal citizens all that I would say is trust your Army, Air Force and Navy where men and women sacrifice their today for your tomorrow.
