The plane carrying the girl landed at the Changi International Airport at 7.30 am (5 am IST), the Indian High Commission in Singapore said, confirming the girl's arrival. The 23-year-old Delhi gang-rape survivor (Patient X) was early on Wednesday morning admitted to the intensive care unit of the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore in an extremely critical condition, a hospital spokesperson said. "She is being examined and the hospital is working with the Indian High Commission. We request that the privacy of the patient and family be respected," the spokesperson added.

"Based on the advice of a team of doctors, the Government of India has made arrangements for the patient being shifted in a well-equipped air ambulance," he told reporters late on Wednesday night.Earlier, the Indian high commission in Singapore confirmed the arrival of the plane carrying the girl at the Changi International Airport at 7.30am (5am IST).
The decision to shift Patient X was taken at the highest level of the Indian government over a week after December 16, when she was gang-raped and brutally assaulted in a moving bus in the national capital. During most part of her treatment at Safdarjung hospital for the past 10 days, she has remained on ventilator support.
